Draft Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine "On Approval of the State Sanitary Norms and Rules "On Safety and Protection of Workers from the Harmful Effects of Asbestos and Materials and Products Containing Asbestos": The draft Order is developed in order to prevent risks associated with the impact of asbestos on the health of workers at workplaces of all types of activities, during which workers are exposed or may be exposed to the harmful effects of asbestos dust or dust emitted from asbestos-containing materials and products, as well as the health of the population living in the area of such exposure and aimed to bring the requirements for safety and health of workers at enterprises that produce and use asbestos-containing materials and products, as well as the population living in the zone of influence of their industrial emissions, in accordance with the requirements of the European Union. The draft Order defines general sanitary and hygienic requirements and the procedure for risk assessment associated with exposure to dust generated by asbestos or asbestos-containing materials and products, general hygienic requirements for enterprises, institutions, organizations for processing and disposal of asbestos and asbestos-containing materials and products, sanitary requirements for technological processes and production equipment, sanitary and hygienic requirements for packaging, storage, transportation and loading and unloading operations, requirements for collection, storage, transportation, disposal and/or burial of asbestos-containing waste, production facilities for processing and utilization of asbestos, asbestos-containing materials and products, requirements for providing workers with personal protective equipment, sanitary and medical support of workers. The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 29 July 2020 No. 667 (as amended) approved the Technical regulation on the requirements for liquefied gas for road transport, household and industrial use. This Technical regulation establishes requirements for liquefied gas used in vehicles with engines specially designed or converted to run on liquefied gas, and liquefied gas used as fuel for domestic and industrial purposes, which are placed on the market of Ukraine. (...) Thus, the Resolution on approval of the Technical regulation (No. 667) will enter into force from the date of termination or cancellation of martial law in Ukraine. Liquefied gas that was put into circulation before the entry into force of the Resolution No. 667 and the quality indicators of which do not meet all or some requirements of the Technical regulation approved by the said Resolution, may be placed on the market within six months from the date of entry into force of the Resolution No. 667.

Draft Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine "On Approval of the State Sanitary Norms and Rules "Basic Safety Standards for Handling Materials Containing Radionuclides of Natural Origin"": The draft Order provides for the establishment of requirements for radiation protection in exposure situations, in handling incidental radioactive materials, as well as for the protection of humans from indoor exposure to radon, air and natural radionuclides in construction materials. In particular, the requirements are provided for radiation safety indicators at the stage of selection of a land plot, design, construction, reconstruction, commissioning of buildings and structures; limitation of radionuclide content in water of drinking water supply sources; limitation of natural radionuclide content in mineral fertilizers and agrochemicals; radiation safety indicators of products containing natural radionuclides; ensuring radiation safety when handling mineral raw materials with a high content of natural radionuclides; ensuring radiation safety in the management of industrial residues with a high content of natural radionuclides.

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1247 concerning concerning the authorisation of Allura Red AC as a feed additive for small non-food producing mammals and ornamental birds. (...) The European Food Safety Authority ('the Authority') concluded in its opinion of 11 November 2021 that, under the proposed conditions of use, Allura Red AC does not have adverse effects on animal health, consumer safety or the environment. Draft Resolution of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On Amendments to the Technical regulation on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment": The draft Resolution provides for the extension the validity of certain exceptions to the restrictions set out in Annexes 3 and 4 to the Technical Regulation on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and, approved by the Resolution of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of March 10, 2017 No. 139, and supplements them with new exceptions. The draft Resolution is developed in order to bring the provisions of the Technical Regulation in compliance with the requirements of the Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2011 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment by amending the Annexes accordingly.

The European Food Safety Authority ('the Authority') concluded in its opinion of 10 November 2021 that, under the proposed conditions of use, monosodium glutamate produced by fermentation with Corynebacterium glutamicum KCCM 80187 does not have adverse effects on animal health, human health or the environment.

The European Food Safety Authority ('the Authority') concluded in its opinion of 26 January 2022 that, under the proposed conditions of use, the preparation of Propionibacterium freudenreichii DSM 33189 and Lentilactobacillus buchneri DSM 12856 does not have an adverse effect on animal health, consumer safety or the environment.
