In 2021 a grant was provided to vehicle purchasers in respect of the purchase and installation of a home charger. The grant applied to both new and second-hand electric vehicles. In 2022, the eligibility was expanded to any individual who had off-street parking.

To provide support to Local Authorities for the installation of infrastructure which will facilitate owners of EVs, who do not have access to a private parking space but rely on parking their vehicles on public streets, to charge their EVs near their homes.

This funding supports the roll out by local authorities of public charge points for electric vehicles and caters mainly for electric vehicle owners who rely on on-street parking as their primary means of parking near their homes.

2021 & 2022 Returns - ZEVI: Electric Small Public Service Vehicle (ESPSV) Grant Scheme: A grant of up to €10,000 to support the purchase of a BEV in the taxi/hackney/limousine sector with an additional €2,500 available for those choosing to make their vehicle wheelchair accessible. Those scrapping older, more polluting, or high mileage vehicles are now eligible for double the normal grant if they make the switch to electric with up to €20K available for a new BEV, €25K for a new wheelchair accessible BEV and €15K for a new wheelchair accessible PHEV.
Grant is provided to directly to consumers in respect of new EVs. Consumers must not purchase the vehicle before the grant is awarded and must then provide proof of purchase to draw down the grant.

Discount is issued to customers retrospectively from their tag provider. To participate in the Scheme, Eligible Toll Users must meet the following criteria within one of the three sub-categories: Passenger Cars and Light Goods Vehicles; Small Passenger Public Services Vehicle (SPSV); or Heavy Duty Vehicles (HDV).

"Contratti di sviluppo", Law-Decree 25 June 2008, No. 112, Art. 43, converted with modifications into Law 6 August 2008 No. 133: (...) reform was implemented by Ministerial Decree 14 February 2014 that introduced procedural simplifications and extended the measure to projects dealing with environment protection. (...) The sectors involved in the "Contratti di sviluppo" are industrial (including agro-industry), tourism and environmental protection.
All national and foreign firms can potentially benefit from the subsidy. The eligibility criteria concern a minimum amount (cut-in) of investment, on the base of the main sector involved. (...) It applies to areas under Regional State Aid Regulation, or in the other areas of the Country, provided that the investment projects are presented by SMEs or the program concerns environment protection.
