Announcement on Supplement of Chalara fraxinea T. Kowalski into the Entry Plant Quarantine Pest List of P.R. China. China suspends the importation of Fraxinus L. seeds, seedlings and other plant propagation materials from the countries and regions where Chalara fraxinea presents. Ash Dieback is a destructive fungal disease on ash trees, caused by Chalara fraxinea T. Kowalski. Based on the pest risk assessment, the likelihood of entry of Chalara fraxinea is high, the hosts, Fraxinus L., are distributed widely in China, and the potential for establishment and spread of Chalara fraxinea are high. If Chalara fraxinea entered into China, the economic, environmental and social impacts would be high.
