• Improving the economic performance of all farms and facilitating farm restructuring and modernisation, notably with a view to increasing market participation and orientation as well as agricultural diversification, including non productive investments linked to the achievement of agrienvironment climate objectives as pursued under this regulation, including biodiversity conservation status of species and habitat.

NATIONAL SUPPORT SCHEMES FOR AGRICULTURE AND RELATED ACTIVITIES: Support for production of biogas from manure
Subsidies are given to biogas plants that fertilize manure. The aid level is at most SEK 0.4/kWh. The average for 2020 was SEK 0.1/kWh. The aid level is based on the amount of biogas produced by the plant from manure.

RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (EAFRD) FOR SWEDEN 2014 - 2020: Support for production of biogas for motor fuel
Subsidies are given to biogas plants that produce upgraded biogas from all kinds of substrates except sewage sludge. The biogas has to be used as motor fuel. The aid level for 2020 was SEK 0.31/kWh and was based on the amount of biogas produced by the plant during a period of 6 months.
