The objective of this Regulation is to determine the necessary methods and basis in order to prevent the transmission and spreading of pest organisms through wooden package materials.
This Regulation covers principles regarding the heat treatment application and ISPM 15 marking and traceability marking on wooden packaging materials to be used in export, issuance of permit certificates, licensed businesses, non-permitted businesses, suppliers, users, HT/DH heat treatment furnace installation permit and marking apparatus sales permit, inspection and responsibilities of the businesses and the inspection of wooden packaging materials, in order to prevent the spread of harmful organisms carried with packaging materials made of wood... It introduces the security hologram application and it is explained in articles 3 and 4. Annex 1 on approved measures for wood packaging materials contains measures different from those adopted in accordance with ISPM 15. These measures are taken to prevent problems arising from application of ISPM 15.

Notification of emergency measures: As of 1 March 2023 Türkiye will require a phytosanitary certificate indicating that used agricultural machinery products (HS codes given below) do not contain soil, pests and plant residues in the additional declaration section of the certificate and these products shall be subject to phytosanitary control upon entry into the country.
The additional declaration section of the phytosanitary certificate issued by the NPPO of the exporting country for the import of the machineries in question to Türkiye should include an additional statement explained below:" The machineries have been controlled and cleaned before export and are free from soil, pests and plant residues (including seeds and other plant parts capable of propagation)."

To prevent the contamination through soil and plant residues carrying harmful organisms into Türkiye and to prevent the entry of harmful organisms unknown in our country.
Measure description Coverage of the measure
Notification of emergency measures: As of 1 March 2023 Türkiye will require a phytosanitary certificate indicating that used agricultural machinery products (HS codes given below) do not contain soil, pests and plant residues in the additional declaration section of the certificate and these products shall be subject to phytosanitary control upon entry into the country.
The additional declaration section of the phytosanitary certificate issued by the NPPO of the exporting country for the import of the machineries in question to Türkiye should include an additional statement explained below:" The machineries have been controlled and cleaned before export and are free from soil, pests and plant residues (including seeds and other plant parts capable of propagation)."

Draft Uganda Standard specifies requirements, sampling and test methods for organic fertilizers to maintain soil fertility. Organic fertilizers are an alternative to minimize the environmental pollution that may be due to excessive use of inorganic fertilizers.

This Draft Uganda Standard specifies requirements, sampling and test methods for organic fertilizers.
Organic fertilizers are naturally available mineral sources that contain moderate amount of plant essential nutrients. They are capable of mitigating problems associated with synthetic fertilizers. They reduce the necessity of repeated application of synthetic fertilizers to maintain soil fertility.

Faced with imports of napkins (diapers) and sanitary towels in such increased quantities as to be detrimental, the domestic industry has filed a petition with the National Authority for Trade Remedies (ANMCC) requesting the implementation of a safeguard measure pursuant to Article XIX of the GATT, the WTO Agreement on Safeguards (...). Unforeseen development: (...) Moreover, bans on lead paint, which have been implemented in a number of countries owing to its toxicity, have led systematically to the export of lead paint to countries where it is not yet banned.
Oil and water paints under Madagascar customs tariff codes 3208 and 3209. The definitive safeguard measure will take the form of a tariff rate quota of 3,000 tonnes, in excess of which an additional annual fixed duty of 18% must be paid.
