Inmetro Ordinance N° 382, 17 September 2021: Inmetro Ordinance No. 382 provides the consolidation of conformity assessment requirements for liquid immersed distribution transformers.
Decree 10.139 of 28 November 2019 provides for the need for revision and consolidation of normative acts below the decree. It aims to update and consolidate regulatory acts, elimination of obsolete regulations whose effects have been exhausted in time or the need cannot be identified. Thus, the inventories and complexity of regulatory processes will be reduced. The need to ensure the energy efficiency and to establish minimum performance and safety requirements for liquid immersed distribution transformers |

Ordinance 382, 26 December 2006: CONAMA Ordinance establishes maximum limits for air pollutants for fixed sources.
Considering the growing industrialization, with the consequent increase in atmospheric pollution levels already reached, mainly in metropolitan regions, and the negative effects on health, the environment, the economy and the degradation of air quality, the Ordinance aims to minimize the impacts on air quality and, thus, protect the health and well-being of the population. |

An Act to provide for the phased elimination of the use and sale of inefficient electrical lamps in Barbados.
A study conducted on the Sustainable Energy Framework for Barbados estimates that energy efficient lighting could represent about a third of the potential savings of electricity for residential, commercial and public customers. The study also revealed that energy efficient lighting technologies are among the most viable energy efficiency interventions available and also among those with the shortest payback. Although energy efficient lighting is both technically and economically viable, its uptake has been lower than expected. The phase-out plan for inefficient lighting therefore seeks to ensure that only energy efficient equipment is available on the market, while energy inefficient lighting equipment is eliminated |

Agriculture | Feeds Regulations, 2022: Feed and livestock…
Feeds Regulations, 2022: Feed and livestock production sectors in Canada and abroad have evolved considerably since the last comprehensive review of the Feeds Regulations, 1983, operating in an environment influenced by several changing factors such as: nutritional awareness, feed manufacturing and distribution, globalization of trade, recognition that feed is an integral component that underpins food production, heightened consumer awareness of food safety, and emergence of new pathogens and disease agents (e.g., bovine spongiform encephalopathy) .
The proposed amendments would repeal and replace the Feeds Regulations, 1983 and are required to establish a feed regulatory framework that includes hazard analysis, preventive controls, traceability, increased record-keeping requirements, and licensing. |

Regulations Prohibiting the Manufacture and Import of Lead Wheel Weights in Canada: : The proposed Regulations would reduce lead contamination from Lead wheel weights. Lead is the most common material used for wheel balancing in the Canadian wheel weight market. Lead wheel weights are lost on roads and highways every year, and generate lead dust. This dust can build up in soil, enter waterways through runoff, or be inhaled. These pathways of exposure to lead dust can give rise to adverse human health and environmental impacts. Since it is a non-biodegradable metal, lead can also accumulate in the environment, contaminate water, and poison wildlife. Without action, it is expected that lead wheel weights will continue to be manufactured and imported in Canada, resulting in continued risks to human health and ecosystems from exposure to elevated concentrations of lead in the environment.
The proposed Regulations would not apply to lead wheel weights that are in transit through Canada, from a place outside Canada to another place outside Canada. |

Draft Ordinance of the FDJP on Exhaust Gas Analysers for Combustion Engines: According to the existing regulation the conformity of measuring instruments for nanoparticles from combustion engines with the technical requirements defined by this regulation is assessed by conformity assessment bodies which are designated by the Federal Department of Justice and Police. According to the proposed regulation this assessment will be performed by the Federal Institute of Metrology METAS (the Swiss national metrology institute) . The technical requirements remain unchanged.
