Updating the List of Commodities for Importation Requiring GM Declaration: In line with DA Administrative Order 08 Series of 2002 rules and regulations for the importation and release into the environment of plants and plants products derived from the use of Modern Technology, the draft Memorandum aims to update the list of commodities for importation requiring genetically modified (GM) declaration. AO 08 Series of 2002 covers the importation or release into the environment of: 1. any plant which has been altered or produced through the use of modern biotechnology if the donor organism, host organism, or vector or vector agent belongs to any of the genera or taxa classified by BPS as meeting the definition of plant pest or is a medium for the introduction of noxious weeds; or 2. Any plant or plant product altered or produced through the use of modern biotechnology which may pose significant risks to human health and the environment based on available scientific and technical information.

Draft amendment No 1, to the technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union "On the Restrictions of the Use of Dangerous Substances in Electrotechnical and Radioelectronical Devices" (EAEU TR 037/2016): Draft amendment № 1, to the technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union "On the Restrictions of the Use of Dangerous Substances in Electrotechnical and Radioelectronical Devices" (EAEU TR 037/2016) provides for the clarification of certain provisions of the technical regulation, in terms of updating the scope of the technical regulation, requirements for a list of hazardous substances under control and limiting their content in electrical and electronic products, including requirements for the disposal of electrical and electronic products that have lost consumer properties.

DRS 90-3: 2021 Polishes — Specification — Part 3: Shoe liquid type: This Draft Rwanda Standard describes the requirements, sampling and test methods for liquid shoe polish suitable for general application to pure or coated leather footwear.

DRS 276-2: 2021 Electrical and electronic waste — Treatment and disposal — Requirement: This Committee Draft prescribes the treatment and disposal of various categories of Electrical and Electronic waste (e-waste) listed in Annex A to ensure the environment and human health is protected against the potential adverse impacts of e-waste in Rwanda.

DRS 276-1: 2021 Electrical and electronic waste — Handling, collection, transportation and storage — Requirement: This Committee Draft prescribes practices of handling, collection, transportation and storage of consumer and industrial Electrical and Electronic waste (e-waste), listed in annex A, to ensure the environment and human health is protected against the potential adverse impacts of e-waste. This standard does not apply to categories of E-waste provided in annex B.

DRS 451-3: 2020 Conservation of cultural heritage — Part 3 Requirements for transportation of movable cultural heritage items :This Committee Draft provides requirements to be fulfilled when transporting movable cultural heritage items.
