Limits, test methods and labelling: The notified draft Mexican Official Standard establishes the maximum electricity consumption levels per litre of usable refrigerated volume and the test method for verifying compliance therewith; user safety requirements and the test methods for determining compliance therewith; and labelling and marking requirements. It applies to the following self-contained commercial refrigeration appliances, Class I new, used or rebuilt, powered by electricity

Draft Mexican Official Standard PROY-NOM-034-ENER/SE-2020, Energy efficiency and safety requirements for fans. Limits, test methods and labelling: The notified draft Mexican Official Standard establishes the minimum energy efficiency of ceiling fans, with or without lighting equipment, wall fans, floor fans and table fans, as well as the test methods, safety requirements, labelling requirements and the conformity assessment procedure. The notified draft Mexican Official Standard applies to:
1. Main-powered wall, floor and table fans with a blade sweep diameter of between 0.1016m (4") and 1.52m (60") .
2. Ceiling fans for general use with a blade sweep diameter of between 0.9144m (36") and 2.13 m (84") .

Decision amending the decision establishing the goods the import of which is subject to regulation by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the issuance of the certificate of origin for exporting coffee: On 26 December 2020, the Decision amending the decision establishing the goods the import of which is subject to regulation by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the issuance of the certificate of origin for exporting coffee, Article 7 of which sets out the requirements to be submitted by importers at the point of entry in the country, with regard to goods entering the country that are described or labelled as "organic", "biological" or "ecological", or with the prefix "bio" or "eco", listed in subparagraphs (b) to (f) of Annex I of the Decision, was published in the Official Journal.

In light of the challenges of the pandemic faced at the global level, the need for certification and the ongoing equivalence discussions with other countries, it is necessary to amend the Fourth Transitional Article of the aforementioned Decision, to maintain exports of organic products from other countries to Mexico, maintain the trade flow and strengthen the development of the domestic production sector, and to facilitate and sustain trade in organic agricultural products of countries in the process of negotiating equivalence agreements with the Mexican Government, to support those involved in the organic product chain. Decision amending the similar decision giving notification of the National Emblem for Organic Products and establishing the general rules for its use on the labels of products certified as organic, published on 25 October 2013: The purpose of the notified Decision is to notify and establish the rules for the use of the National Emblem for Organic Products, with the specifications, colour patterns and other features that are defined in the Decision.

Draft Mexican Official Standard PROY-NOM-007-SCT2-2021: Provisions relating to the construction, UN marking and testing of packaging/containers, intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) and large packagings/containers used to transport dangerous goods: The purpose of the notified Mexican Official Standard is to establish the characteristics and specifications for the construction (manufacturing), UN marking and testing of packaging/containers, intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) and large packagings/containers used to transport dangerous goods which circulate on general communication routes under federal jurisdiction.

This Standard is binding on shippers and consignees of dangerous goods within their areas of responsibility, as well as on manufacturers (builders) and distributors engaged in the construction and reconstruction of the packaging/containers, IBCs and large packagings/containers, who must ensure that each one

Government decree #235. LIST OF TECHNICAL REGULATIONS TO BE DEVELOPED AND REVISED: Since enforcement of law on "Standardization, technical regulation and accreditation" in 2018 all standards became voluntary.

The purpose of the regulation is to ensure the safety of human health, environment, product and industry and to protect public interest. Therefore, Government approved the list of technical regulations to be developed and revised for the period 2019-2021. But due to the scarcity of national capacity the list wasn't notified and the regulations were not developed yet and development postponed to the period 2021-2024.
