Revision of the "Basic Policy concerning the Promotion of Contracts considering Reduction of Emissions of Greenhouse Gases and Others by the State and Other Entities" under the "Act on Promotion of Contracts of the State and Other Entities, which Show Consideration for Reduction of Emissions of Greenhouse Gases, etc.": The original Basic Policy was adopted by the cabinet decision in December 2007, based on the Act which went into effect in November 2007. In February 2022, the revision of the Basic Policy for addition of the basic matters concerning contracts related to building operation maintenance was adopted by the cabinet decision.

"Basic Policy on Promoting Green Procurement" (hereinafter referred as "Basic Policy") was adopted at a cabinet meeting in February 2001 based on the "Act on Promotion of Procurement of Eco-Friendly Goods and Services by the State and Other Entities" which went into effect in January 2001. On 25th February 2022, amendment concerning designated procurement items under the Basic Policy including addition of 3 items and revision of individual evaluation criteria for 59 items, was adopted at a cabinet meeting.

Progress in the provision of technical assistance and capacity building support: Standards and Trade Development Facility (STDF) project through the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) "Strengthening the capacity of the National Public Health Laboratory to provide services in support of Market Access for Solomon Islands Fish Exporters" June 2017-June 2022. The support was in targeting National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) meeting international accreditation for accrediting the Microbiology Unit – this accreditation is still in progress. The European Investment Fund (EIF) in 2021 also supported in construction of NPHL Office facilities, trainings and equipment's. NPHL is still working on accrediting the Microbiology Unit of the NPHL to the International Standards Organization (ISO) 17025 under National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) & International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) and to have the Chemistry Unit of the NPHL accredited if and when resources are made available.

Progress in the provision of technical assistance and capacity building support: (...) Trade Mark East Africa (TMEA) supported Rwanda to create the Laboratory information Management Systems (LIMs), that helped for digitization of testing results, both online reporting system and certificate delivery. This helped external Clients and staff in laboratories to save time for other businesses. It saved cost of printing certificate and the protection of environment. (...)

Risk management: 1. Technical assistance for the coordinated implementation of risk management principles by all border agencies; equipping services with materials and capacities to computerize their procedures.
2. Capacity-building of personnel in charge of control and risk analysis at customs, sanitary and phytosanitary services, environmental services including water and forests, police, gendarmerie.
3. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) support (servers, database, etc.)
