The Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020 (...): The category of imports under the current Foreign Trade Policy consists of: (i) prohibited items, import of which are normally not allowed; (ii) restricted items, imports of which are allowed against an authorisation or in accordance with a public notice which indicates the conditions under which the items can be imported; (iii) those under state trading enterprises (STE) policy, the imports of which are permitted only through the designated STEs; and (iv) those which can be freely imported.

Some of the items presently under restriction include live animals, including fish, planting material (seeds), stones, metal waste, radioactive material, ozone depleting substances, plastic waste, certain new pneumatic tyres, sandalwood (...) and items covered under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) (...)

The United States maintains the Bonneville Power Administration (Bonneville), Southeastern Power Administration (Southeastern), Southwestern Power Administration (Southwestern), and Western Area Power Administration (Western) within the Department of Energy (DOE). Southeastern, Southwestern, and Western had no foreign transactions in the current or recent reporting periods. Information on these three entities is being provided for transparency purposes. (...) III. The Livestock Promotion Corporation (Corporación Ganadera, CORFOGA), a non-State public law entity with its own legal personality and assets, was created under Law No. 7837 of 5 October 1998 to promote livestock production. (...) Accordingly, the Corporation seeks to promote sustainable cattle-farming, the development and modernization of this activity, and increased productivity. The law also seeks to promote and support the technological and entrepreneurial restructuring of the livestock sector and the various segments of the agro-industrial meat chain; to draw up and implement plans, programmes and projects for both the promotion of sustainable livestock farming, and the generation and application of appropriate technology for producer groups.

Law No. 2016-1087 of 8 August 2016 on the restoration of biodiversity, nature and the countryside: This law contains provisions on the use of genetic resources and associated traditional knowledge and provisions on patents for biological material (Articles 9, 10 and 37)

Law No. 7416. Ratification of the Convention on Biological Diversity and its Annexes: The notified legal text ratifies the Convention on Biological Diversity and its Annexes. A number of provisions in this legal text are relevant to issues of patents and plant varieties.

The Ordinance and its subsidiary legislation provide a new regulatory regime of the travel industry of Hong Kong. Under the new regulatory regime, Travel Industry Ordinance (TIA) is responsible for the licensing and regulation of travel agents, tourist guides and tour escorts, administration of the Travel Industry Compensation Fund; imposition of levies on travel agents; and other matters related to the new regulatory regime of the travel industry. The new regulatory regime will help improve the service quality and professionalism of travel agents, tourist guides and tour escorts, and is conducive to the sustainable and healthy development of the travel industry.
