Draft Mexican Official Standard PROY-NOM-017-ASEA-2023: Installations for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) . (Annuls and replaces Mexican Official Standard NOM-015-SECRE-2013: Design, construction, safety, operation and maintenance of liquefied petroleum gas storage systems used at storage and supply installations which are directly linked to systems for transporting or distributing liquefied petroleum gas by pipeline or which form an integral part of land or maritime terminals importing this product): The notified draft Mexican Official Standard establishes the requirements and specifications for industrial safety, operational safety and environmental protection, which must be applied in the design, construction, pre-startup, operation and maintenance of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage installations on land and/or sea, to prevent harm to the population, the installations and the environment. The notified draft Mexican Official Standard is applicable throughout Mexican territory and areas where the Nation exercises its sovereignty and jurisdiction and is binding on all persons engaged in or intend to be engaged in the activities of: I. Draft amendment to Mexican Official Standard NOM-167-SEMARNAT-2017 establishing the maximum permissible pollutant emission levels for motor vehicles in the federal entities of Mexico City, Hidalgo, Mexico State, Morelos, Puebla and Tlaxcala; test methods for assessing these levels; and specifications concerning information technology and holograms, which is now entitled draft Mexican Official Standard PROY-NOM-167-SEMARNAT-2023 establishing the maximum permissible pollutant emission levels for motor vehicles in the federal entities of Mexico City, Hidalgo, Mexico State, Morelos, Puebla, Querétaro and Tlaxcala; test methods for assessing these levels; and specifications concerning information technology and holograms): he notified draft Mexican Official Standard has the following objectives: To establish the maximum permissible levels for emissions of pollutants from the exhausts of motor vehicles powered by gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas, diesel or any other alternative fuel in Mexico City, Hidalgo, Mexico State, Morelos, Puebla, Querétaro and Tlaxcala;

Regulation of Production and Certification of Organic Agricultural Products: The purpose of this regulation is:a) Establish norms for the production, preparation, distribution and certification of organic products and their control; andb) Establish rules for labeling and advertising of organic products.

DNAMS 0024:2023 - Marketing and commercial quality control of Gem squash: This document applies to Gem squash of the varieties (cultivars) grown from the cucurbit family Cucurbita pepo L, having a hard shell and mature seeds commercially produced for fresh consumption. Gem squash for industrial processing being excluded.

DNAMS 0026: 2023: Marketing and commercial quality control of Sweetcorn: This standard applies to Sweetcorn of the varieties (cultivars) Zea mays L, and excludes sweetcorn corn for industrial processing.

Registry of pesticides for domestic use and professional use of botanical and microbiological origin: The notified resolution establishes the requirements for the registration, manufacture, formulation, import, export, distribution, marketing, use and handling of pesticides for domestic use and professional use of botanical and microbiological origin. It also includes requirements for the renewal of registration and licensing as an importer, distributor and marketer of pesticides for domestic use and professional use of botanical and microbiological origin.

Proposal to amend the Cosmetics Products Group Standard 2020: includes proposals to:· Update lists of cosmetic ingredients subject to certain rules (including those that are banned/restricted) to be consistent with current annexes of EU Cosmetics Products Regulation (Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009);· Expand the scope of the Group Standard to require products that are not hazardous in themselves but do contain a hazardous component to comply with the Group Standard;· Introduce a phase-out of PFAS (perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances) containing cosmetic products by 31 December 2025;· Updating requirements to adhere to the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) Standards to reference the 50th amendment of those standards, and any subsequent versions;· Providing for appropriate transitional arrangements; and Several other minor drafting changes.

Ministry for Primary Industries National Organic standard: The proposed national organic standard establishes requirements for the production and processing of food, beverages, plant and animal products labelled as organic products. This operationalises aspects of the Organic Products and Production Act 2023.

DRAFT Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Exhaust Emissions Amendment 2023: The New Zealand Government is proposing to phase-in new emissions standards for the following groups of vehicles (when they are imported into the country): light vehicles, heavy vehicles, motorcycles/mopeds, and used disability vehicles. The emissions standards would be phased-in over five years. The relevant proposals include: Shifting the minimum requirement for used imports from Euro 4/IV to Euro 5/V from 1 Feb 2024, including for disability vehicles; Phasing in the shift from Euro 5/V to Euro 6/VI on used imports and new vehicles (including new disability vehicles) in several steps, between late 2024 and the start of 2028. Allowing more time for used disability vehicles, which will shift to Euro 6d from 1 January 2028 at the latest. Introducing an emissions requirement for mopeds and motorcycles. Requiring Euro 4 from 1 Feb 2025 and then Euro 5 from 1 Jan 2027. Aotearoa New Zealand currently accepts the use of several regional standards (European, Japanese, American, and Australian) and global standards (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE[1])) to demonstrate emissions levels. This approach shall continue where broad equivalence is possible.
