The scheme is open to owners of Northern Ireland registered fishing vessels, inland fishers, producer organisations, aquaculture and fish processing and marketing businesses and Northern Ireland Ports. Most Maritime and Fisheries Fund (NI) funding is only available to micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs). However, some funding can be granted to large aquaculture enterprises if their project relates to, and is engaged in, knowledge-sharing with SMEs.

Fisheries Development Loan Fund: (a) To provide one-off loans for owners of trawlers and fish collectors affected by the trawl ban to, without increasing the overall fishing efforts, upgrade their vessels to standards required for their continued operational needs, switch to more sustainable fisheries operations and other fisheries-related operations, or carry out projects that will reduce fuel consumption or the carbon footprint of their operations; (b) to provide loans for capture fishermen and owners of fish collectors to, without increasing the overall fishing efforts, switch to more sustainable fisheries operations and other fisheries-related operations, or carry out projects that will reduce fuel consumption or the carbon footprint of their operations; and (c) to provide loans that help fish farmers develop aquaculture, or improve their aquaculture businesses leading to more environmentally friendly operations
Applicants for loans under 3(a) and 3(b) above must be Hong Kong residents and owners of local fishing vessels or fish collectors, holding valid licences necessary for their operations; or locally registered fisheries co-operative societies/companies with the majority of their members/shareholders being local capture fishermen who fulfil the aforementioned criteria. Applicants for the loans under 3(a) also have to prove that they are genuinely affected by the trawl ban. Applicants for loans under 3(c) above must be Hong Kong residents, holding valid licences necessary for operating their aquaculture businesses; (...)

4.1.1 Recycled Scrap:. With regard to the importation of recycled scrap, the importer firstly requests the import recommendation letter to the Environmental Conservation Department (ECD). After receiving the approval of import recommendation letter, the importer or applicant shall apply the import license to the Department of Trade under the Ministry of Commerce. The approval system is complied with the International Agreements in order to control the trans-boundary movement of hazardous waste and other waste and avoid the environmental pollution and human health form waste.

4.1.1 Recycled Scrap:. With regard to the importation of recycled scrap, the importer firstly requests the import recommendation letter to the Environmental Conservation Department (ECD). After receiving the approval of import recommendation letter, the importer or applicant shall apply the import license to the Department of Trade under the Ministry of Commerce. The approval system is complied with the International Agreements in order to control the trans-boundary movement of hazardous waste and other waste and avoid the environmental pollution and human health form waste.
