Draft Regulation for the Use Restriction and Labeling Requirement of the Ganoderma microsporum Globulin-like Protein Concentrate Produced by Genetically Modified Pichia pastoris Ey72 as a Food Ingredient: This draft regulation specifies the use restriction and labeling requirement for the Ganoderma microsporum globulin-like protein concentrate produced by genetically modified Pichia pastoris Ey72 for food purposes.

Proposal for amendments to the legal requirements for printing or copying machines and 30 other commodities: BSMI proposes to adopt the newest version of the electrical safety specifications, electromagnetic compatibility and related inspection standards, CNS 15598-1: 2020 and CNS15936: 2016 to bring our regulations into line with the international standards to ensure consumers' safety.

Draft for the restriction on the production, importation, and sales of plate packaging materials containing Polyvinylchloride (PVC), designated recyclable containers, and non-plate disposable tableware containers: Polyvinylchlioride (hereinafter referred to as ''PVC'') has been widely used and deeply involved in our daily lives for years. PVC products are often added with stabilizers due to the need for heat resistance substances which contain heavy metals that are harmful to human health. PVC materials are not resistant to oil-soluble corrosion; therefore, it is possible to have plasticizer contamination in our foods, resulting in environmental hormone effects and carcinogenic risk due to the exposure to PVC. (...) Further risks to the environment are followed by the burial and reusing process of the ash and slag, which causes the pollution to be distributed in the environment.

Considering the fact that Dioxin is very difficult to decompose in natural environment, negative impacts of dioxin on human health and the environment will become significant once it has entered the food chain. In order to protect the health of the citizens and environment, the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) guides the industry to switch to other alternative materials to reduce the use of products containing PVC by the consumers. Draft Regulation on Ecodesign Requirements For Energy-Related Products (2009/125/EC): The energy related products covered by this Regulation shall be determined by implementing regulations to be published by relevant competent authorities.

This Regulation shall not apply to means of transport for persons or goods.

This Regulation and the implementing regulations adopted pursuant thereto shall be without prejudice to Community waste management legislation and Community chemicals legislation, including Community legislation on fluorinated greenhouse gases.

Draft Regulation On Framework For Energy Labelling: This regulation contains obligations of supplier, dealer and competent authorities for energy related products placed on the market or put into service, market surveillance and control of products, procedure at national level for dealing with products presenting a risk, Safeguard procedure, procedure for the introduction and rescaling of labels and other works and proceedings related to harmonized standards.

This Regulation does not apply to second-hand products, unless they are imported from a third country and means of transport for persons or goods.

Draft Communique on Ecodesign Requirements for Refrigerating Appliances (2019/2019/EU): This Communiqué shall apply to electric mains-operated refrigerating appliances with a total volume of more than 10 litres and less than or equal to 1500 litres.

This Communique shall not apply to:

a) professional refrigerated storage cabinets and blast cabinets, with the exception of professional chest freezers;
b) refrigerating appliances with a direct sales function;
c) mobile refrigerating appliances;
d) appliances where the primary function is not the storage of foodstuffs through refrigeration.

Draft Communique on Ecodesign Requirements for Standby, Off and Networked Standby Mode Electric Power Consumption of Electrical and Electronic Household and Office Equipment(1275/2008/EC): This Communique covers electrical and electronic household and office equipment included in Annex-I.

This Communique shall not apply to electrical and electronic household and office equipment placed on the market with a low voltage external power supply to work as intended.
