The agricultural sector in Suriname, as a former plantation colony, has always had an important place in the economy. Agriculture, livestock and fisheries form the agricultural sector and have a 10% share in GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of Suriname. The Government stands for a sustainable strategy in the agricultural areas. This strategy aims at sustainable agricultural activities. Under sustainable agricultural production is meant a production system in which the ecosystem is carefully handled, so that the next generations are assured of good conditions for the production of sufficient, healthy and safe food.

Support for the United States' active trade agenda – including for bilateral and regional trade agreements as well as U.S. participation in the WTO – has been built through extensive outreach to U.S. industry leaders, entrepreneurs, farmers, ranchers, small business owners, workers, state and local government officials, and advocates for labor rights, environmental protection, and public health, among other issues. Government formulated Export Policy 2015-2018 to promote and facilitate export, improve quality of the exportable items, use environment friendly technologies and produce high value added and labour intensive products.(...)

(…) ETP (Economic Transformation Programme) has identified manufacturing related NKEAs (National Key Economic Areas) that require focused development and support. It aims to build up higher value-added subsectors such as LED lighting, solar panels and generic drug manufacturing.

Ghana is enthusiastic about the development-oriented outcomes that the Doha Round could achieve if negotiation builds momentum. The Doha Round has the potential to reverse the marginalization of some developing countries and least developed countries and help them to meet the Millennium Development Goals. A successful conclusion to the Doha Round and a reinvigorated multilateral trading system would deliver opportunities to all participants, including the smallest, weakest and most vulnerable economies. The development imperative remains crucial. Consequently, WTO members must take a dynamic approach to fulfilling it, bringing developing and least developed countries fully within reach of the new trading opportunities that can help them to alleviate poverty and put their economies on the path of sustainable growth and development.

Since emerging from a lengthy political crisis that became a crisis of governance, Madagascar has committed to a new pathway towards inclusive, sustainable development. Though growth in per capita GDP remains a significant development index and is an essential route to achieving the objectives of society, it is not enough in itself.

In conformity with Decree No. 286 2009 containing the Law for the Establishment of a Country Vision and the Adoption of a National Plan (LVPPN), the Country Vision should be achieved by 2038 when its objectives and goals have been attained. The National Plan was established for 2010 2022 and 2022 2034 as a planning instrument to help achieve the envisaged objectives and goals. The LVPPN contains the following objectives:
