Turkey has officially taken part in the negotiations on Environmental Goods Agreement (EGA), with the aim of eliminating tariffs on a list of products agreed as environmental goods, since the 5th Round of talks that has been held in March 2015.Turkey believes that EGA will have a positive impact that will go beyond just export and import liberalization in environmental goods. It will also facilitate the process for renewable energy investments, technology transfer and capacity building.
