4.73. Fishing within territorial waters (up to 12 nautical miles) is under provincial responsibility, while deep-sea fishing is regulated by the Federal Government. The Marine Fisheries Department under the Ministry of Maritime Affairs has the objective of promoting Pakistan's fisheries sector. To achieve this objective and to promote fisheries exports, a number of initiatives are being taken by federal and provincial fisheries departments. They include strengthening extension services, introducing new fishing methodologies, developing value-added products, enhancing per capita consumption of fish, and upgrading socio-economic conditions of the fishing community. Recently, the Exclusive Fishery Zone (Regulation of Fishing) Rules 1990 was amended to cover all aspects of sustainable fishing.

As at June 2022, 154 companies had received services from Export Barbados. Services offered by the Barbados Investment Development Corporation (BIDC) include trade advisory services, training, capacity building, rental of industrial estates, and certification. (...)

4.24. In 2019, the UAE started to promote agricultural technology through the USD 272 million Ag Tech Programme launched by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office. Four Ag Tech private companies – AeroFarms (research and vertical farming), Madar Farms (the world's first commercial scale indoor tomato farm using only LED lights), RNZ (research and development to quantify production output measured against environmental inputs), and Responsive Drip Irrigation (innovative irrigation system) – benefited from funding through this programme. In addition, the Federal Government created the Ag-Tech Government Accelerators Programme, which focuses on adopting modern technologies in agriculture to reduce costs, strengthening the sector, and fostering research. Ten initiatives were introduced by the Government in this context to promote the adoption of Ag Tech, including a sustainable agriculture label, reduced agricultural licence fees, loan guarantees, a food security data platform, and new standards for aquaculture [30]. 5.8. The Government's strategy for forestry is outlined in the Tonga National Forest Policy (TNFP) 2009, and the Management Plan for the Forests and Tree Resources of Tonga 2017. The latter highlights the urgency of establishing a national inventory of forestry resources to improve analysis of the sustainability of current management arrangements, and to inform future policy priorities. This would require donor support to set up, but would then be maintained and updated through the Government's budget. The Government gazetted new Sandalwood Regulations in 2016, to improve sustainable management of the resource and promote new planting of sandalwood for commercial purposes. The rehabilitation of degraded foreshores in areas vulnerable to rising sea levels, storm surges, coastal erosion and salt spray will also play an important role in the country's adaptation to climate change
