Clean Energy for Rural and Remote Communities Program: The CERRC program, which is part of Natural Resources Canada's Green Infrastructure funding, supports the government's climate change and clean growth objectives, advances the government's commitment to transition rural, remote and Indigenous communities from diesel to clean, reliable energy by 2030, and advances priorities related to truth and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.
The CERRC program received an overall commitment of approximately $218M over eight years (2018-19 to 2025-26) to support community-driven activities. Projects range from capacity building initiatives to deploying and demonstrating renewable energy projects. |
