Energy Conservation Program: Test Procedure for Dehumidifying Direct Expansion-Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems: otice of proposed rulemaking and request for comment - The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to establish definitions for "direct expansion-dedicated outdoor air systems" (DX- DOAS or DX-DOASes) and "dehumidifying direct expansion-dedicated outdoor air systems" (DDX-DOAS or DDX-DOASes) . DX-DOASes are a category of small, large, and very large commercial package air conditioning and heating equipment under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), as amended. In addition, DOE is proposing to establish a test procedure to measure the energy efficiency of DDX- DOASes, which aligns with the most recent version of the relevant industry consensus test standards for DDX-DOASes, with certain minor modifications. Lastly, DOE is proposing to add supporting definitions, energy efficiency metrics for dehumidification and heating modes, and provisions governing public representations as part of this rulemaking. Energy Conservation Program for Appliance Standards: Certification for Ceiling Fan Light Kits, General Service Incandescent Lamps, Incandescent Reflector Lamps, Ceiling Fans, Consumer Furnaces and Boilers, Consumer Water Heaters, Dishwashers, Commercial Clothes Washers, Battery Chargers, and Dedicated-Purpose Pool Pumps: Notice of proposed rulemaking and request for comment - The U.S. Department of Energy ("DOE" or the "Department") proposes to amend the certification provisions for ceiling fan light kits ("CFLKs"), general service incandescent lamps ("GSILs"), incandescent reflector lamps ("IRLs"), ceiling fans, consumer furnaces and boilers, consumer water heaters, dishwashers, commercial clothes washers ("CCWs"), battery chargers, and dedicated-purpose pool pumps ("DPPPs") . DOE is proposing amendments to the certification and reporting provisions for these products and equipment to ensure reporting that is consistent with currently applicable energy conservation standards and to ensure DOE has the information necessary to determine the appropriate classification of products for the application of standards. DOE seeks comment from interested parties on all aspects of this proposal.

Energy Conservation Program: Test Procedures for Cooking Products: Notice of proposed rulemaking and announcement of public meeting - The U.S. Department of Energy ("DOE") proposes to establish a test procedure for a category of cooking products, i.e., conventional cooking tops, under a proposed new appendix. The proposed test procedure would adopt the latest version of the relevant industry standard with modifications to adapt the test method to gas cooking tops, offer an optional method for burden reduction, normalize the energy use of each test cycle, include measurement of standby mode and off mode energy use, update certain test conditions, and provide certain clarifying language. This NOPR also proposes to retitle the existing cooking products test procedure for microwave ovens only. DOE is seeking comment from interested parties on the proposal.

Energy Conservation Program: Test Procedure for Circulator Pumps: The U.S. Department of Energy ("DOE") proposes to establish definitions, a test procedure, sampling and rating requirements, and enforcement provisions for circulator pumps. Currently, circulator pumps are not subject to DOE test procedures or energy conservation standards. DOE proposes a test procedure for measuring the circulator energy index for circulator pumps. The proposed test method references the relevant industry test standard. The proposed definitions and test procedures are based on the recommendations of the Circulator Pump Working Group, which was established under the Appliance Standards Rulemaking Federal Advisory Committee. DOE is seeking comment from interested parties on the proposal.
