The generation master plan drawn up by Cambodia's authorities envisages that in the period ahead peak generation in Phnom Penh will be assured by thermal units; small and medium sized diesel units will provide both base and peak loads in provincial towns and cities. The plan also envisages a major expansion of hydro power, initially through smaller size hydro units, and then through mid and larger size hydro projects. Five additional coal-fired plants are scheduled to come on stream during 2017-21, as well as one hydro generator. During 2021-25, thirteen different hydro projects will come on stream, as well as a major thermal unit.

In 2014, 6 consumption projects were conducted in information consumption, green consumption, stabilization of housing consumption, improvement of cultural, educational and sports consumption, upgrading of tourism and leisure consumption, and elderly care, housekeeping and health consumption. 2.8 trillion yuan of relevant consumptions were driven by 3 trillion yuan of investment in the above areas.

To create an environment for inclusive growth and in pursuit of a globally competitive economy, the current Administration launched the 0+10-Point Socioeconomic Agenda which pursues the realization of inclusive development and the AmBisyon Natin 2040 which sets out collective long-term vision and aspirations of Filipino in the next 25 years. With these national goals, the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022 was launched to operationalize the achievement of both campaigns. Furthermore, the Philippine Development Plan espouses a national spatial strategy that describes the geographic development challenges and opportunities in population and economic growth. The national spatial strategy provides the basis for policies on urban development, infrastructure development, disaster mitigation, and environmental resource protection and conservation. It recommends sustainable human settlements, efficient production, and effective service delivery systems.

Angola places great importance to the current negotiations regarding the applicable rules, in order to guarantee the attainment of all the aspects of the Mandate (Anti-Dumping, Subsidies and Countervailing Measures (SCM), including the fisheries subsidies and Regional Trade Agreements), being these important ones for the development of the Multilateral Trade System basing on rules for the global balance of the results in the framework of the Doha Development Agenda (DDA).

The Government has demonstrated its determination to pursue its mission, which is firmly grounded in its sustainable development policy, while backing moves by investors who are keen to establish free zones in the national territory in the form of tax and customs related benefits and incentives.

The GoE (Government of Egypt)’s near-term national development and economic growth goals are enshrined in its 2030 Sustainable Development Strategy (2030 SDS). The 2030 SDS is an integrated, holistic approach towards Egypt’s near-term sustainable development. At the macro-level, the strategy is constructed around three key dimensions: (1) economic, (2) social and (3) environmental. While ambitious, the 2030 SDS has been carefully crafted to ensure the feasibility of an accelerated near-term development plan while reflecting the evolution of national socio-political and economic priorities since Egypt’s most recent Trade Policy Review in 2005 and, more particularly, since 2011.

(...) The government had help in implementation of priority policy measures roll out in late 2015 and 2016 going forward to address sectors affected by the natural disasters through the national sustainable development plan goals and objectives (2016-2030).

The two new laws (FIL - Foreign Investment Law and CIL - Citizens' Investment Law), which were closely scrutinized by Parliament, envisage not only wide range of activities where foreign investment can involve 100% equity ownership, but also lower and non-discriminatory minimum capital requirements, tax incentives (especially tax holidays), longer leasing of real estate, and vigorous standards for environmental and social protection.

In the past four years, Saudi Arabia, represented by the Atomic Energy Sector in King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE), has worked on several projects to begin defining the objectives of the KSA Nuclear Programme. These projects includes but are not limited to the following:
• Establishing a new atomic energy programme directed to civil purposes and having the following properties:
 safety first;
 transparent;
 worldwide cooperation;
 highest standards and best practices;
 clean and environmentally friendly.

• Adapting and developing, in partnership, new atomic energy technologies.

Canada and CARICOM are currently negotiating a reciprocal Canada-CARICOM Trade Agreement set to replace the unilateral preferences granted under CARIBCAN. Discussions during the rounds have covered market access in goods, trade defence and safeguards measures, rules of origin, trade facilitation, customs procedures, government procurement, technical barriers to trade, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, services, labour and environment.
