Canada is advancing an inclusive approach to trade, informed by ongoing dialogue with a broad range of Canadians, which aims to align Canadian trade policy priorities with the interests of all its citizens in being able to benefit from trade. In its trade agreements, Canada is building on past achievements by improving labour and environment protections, and pursuing new and innovative provisions aimed at women, SMEs and Indigenous peoples. AGROBANCO funds its activities from two sources: domestic and international institutions that set certain conditions and are regularly used to finance its clients; and funds assigned by the Peruvian State, which are channelled through MINAGRI to producers affected by climate events or pests. These funds are administered by AGROBANCO, which applies preferential conditions and charges a management fee.

Canada's long-standing Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) was replaced, on 1 July 2017, by the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA). The new Agreement brings about wider and more in depth coverage of internal trade, as it incorporates almost all economic activities and deepens the coverage of many provincial and territorial commitments, in particular on government procurement. It has provisions for reducing regulatory barriers through a mechanism for regulatory cooperation; strengthens dispute settlement procedures; increases alignment with Canada's international obligations; and includes new provisions on environmental protection and labour mobility.

Under the Single Harmonized Text of the General Law on Mining, approved by Supreme Decree No. 014 92 EM, mineral resources are state property and that ownership is inalienable and imprescriptible. The State's function is to evaluate and preserve natural resources, foster investment and regulate and oversee mining activity throughout the country. (...)
