Relevant information
Export duties are levied on tobacco and tobacco products (10%), cotton waste (25%), ceramic building bricks (25%), unwrought lead (25%) and rice bran (10%). The reason for the export duties was to discourage production of these products. According to the authorities, brick production is not environmentally friendly, while tobacco production utilizes land needed for essential crops.
