10. Trade policy remained largely unchanged since the previous Review. India continues to rely on trade policy instruments such as the tariff, export taxes, minimum import prices, import and export restrictions, and licensing. 28. Over the review period, India's policies regarding the electricity sector were aimed at ensuring access to reliable and affordable services and at diversifying energy sources. To this end, various incentives were granted to expand the distribution network and to promote the use of renewables.
