Decree concerning the mandatory display for sale of unprocessed fresh fruit and vegetables without packaging made entirely or partly of plastic: The notified Law to combat wastefulness and the circular economy, of 10 February 2020, establishes that retail stores displaying unprocessed fresh fruit and vegetables for sale will be required, as from 1 January 2022, to display such products for sale without plastic packaging (Article 77 of the Law) . The notified Law also specifies that this obligation does not apply to fruit and vegetables packed in batches exceeding 1.5 kg, or fruit and vegetables presenting a risk of deterioration when sold loose, the list of which is established by decree. The draft decree defines the list of fruits and vegetables presenting a risk of deterioration when sold loose that are exempt from this obligation.

The Environmental Protection (Plastic Plates etc. and Polystyrene Containers etc.) (England) Regulations 2023: These regulations will apply to all businesses that operate in England. (...) Their durability ensures they can survive for centuries in landfill or as litter in the countryside or ocean. These measures represent a step towards England's domestic target of eliminating avoidable plastic waste by 2042, as set out in our 25 Year Environment Plan and reemphasized in England's Environmental Improvement Plan. Insulated Flasks, Bottles and Containers for Domestic Use (Quality Control) Order, 2023: Insulated Flasks/Bottles/Containers for Domestic Use as per IS 17526: 2021, title of Indian Standard "Domestic stainless steel vacuum flask / bottle" is classified in to different varieties based on types like Wide Mouth / Narrow Mouth, capacity of 1000 ml up to and including 1000 ml above. IS 17790:2022 title of Indian Standard "Insulated Flask for Domestic Use" is classified in to different varieties based on materials both inner and outer container is of stainless steel, Inner container is of stainless steel and outer container is of plastic, IS 17569:2021 title of Indian Standard "Insulated Containers for Food Storage" is classified in to different varieties based on materials like Plastic on the outside and stainless-steel inside, Stainless steel on both sides, Plastic on both sides.

Drums and Tins (Quality Control) Order, 2023: A drum is a cylindrical container used for packing powder or semi-solid or liquid. Drums can be made of steel, dense paperboard, or plastics, and are generally used for the transportation and storage of liquids, semi-solids and powders. A tin is a container of tin-coated sheet metal used especially for packing food items in powder or semi-solid or liquid form.

Alumina Calcined (Quality Control) Order, 2023: Calcined alumina is used in the manufacture of high-grade ceramic shapes, refractories and fused alumina abrasives. It is also has variety of industrial applications including Structural ceramics, Technical ceramics, Polishing compounds for plastic, metal, and glass, Fillers for Rubber and Plastics, Friction – anti slip, Refractories, Paint & Coatings and Thermal Spray Powders. So, for protection of human health and environment, the BIS standard of Calcined alumina needs to be made mandatory. The locally manufactured or imported Alumina Calcined shall conform to the Indian Standard IS 17441 (Part 1) : 2021, and shall bear the standard mark under license from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as per Scheme-II of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

Linoleum has largely been replaced as a floor covering by the synthetic plastic polyvinyl chloride(PVC) It is a unique standard where there is no production being done in India.
