5.3 Recyclable materials containing hazardous substances - Department of Environment and Natural Resources:Importation clearance is required for the importation of recyclable materials containing hazardous substances to prevent the entry, and/or transit, as well as keeping for storage and disposal of hazardous waste into the country to protect the environment. This is also to support the recycling industry in the Philippines. The importation clearance is issued to registered importer in the DENR through its Environmental Management Bureau (EMB).

Measure description Coverage of the measure
5.3 Recyclable materials containing hazardous substances - Department of Environment and Natural Resources:Importation clearance is required for the importation of recyclable materials containing hazardous substances to prevent the entry, and/or transit, as well as keeping for storage and disposal of hazardous waste into the country to protect the environment. This is also to support the recycling industry in the Philippines. The importation clearance is issued to registered importer in the DENR through its Environmental Management Bureau (EMB).
Permits are required for scrap metals, solid plastic materials (waste parings and scrap of plastics, polymerized or co-polymerized, resins of condensation products), electronic assemblies and scrap, used oil, fly ash. Applies to recyclable materials containing hazardous substances
