2.40. (...) Chile led the APEC Trade and Investment Committee (TIC) for the first time in 2020-21, facing the challenge of the global COVID-19 pandemic. During this period, the focus was on (...) sustainability and trade, etc. Virtual dialogues were conducted on promoting transparency in notifications of technical barriers to trade (TBT), policies for trade in carbon-neutral goods and technologies, and the role of government procurement during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, it should be noted that, in 2018, Chile chaired the APEC Senior Officials' Meeting Steering Committee on Economic and Technical Cooperation (SCE), which addressed issues of development and integration of remote areas, as well as issues such as (...) and sustainable tourism.
