The original "Basic Policy for the Promotion of the Procurement of Eco-Friendly Goods and Services" (hereinafter referred to as "Basic Policy") was adopted by cabinet decision in February 2001 (partially revised in February 2014) based on the "Law Concerning the Promotion of the Procurement of Eco-Friendly Goods and Services by the State and Other Entities" which went into effect in January 2001. In February 2015, concerning designated procurement items under the Basic Policy, the addition of 3 items and revision of the evaluation criteria and/or factors for consideration for 47 items were adopted by the cabinet decision.
