1.2. Marine products - The METI shall designate and publish a list of items of goods for which import approval must be obtained, to comply with Article 3 of the IMPORT TRADE CONTROL ORDER. A person wishing to import an item published in the above mentioned list shall be subject to import approval for imports provided for in Article 4.
Environment related objective
To comply with conservation and other fisheries control requirements from the International Whaling Commission (IWC), the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) and the Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT), in particular as they relate to non-members, as well as provisions of Article 66 of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), regarding the principles of the anadromous stocks with reference to the state of its origin.
