The Agreement covers trade in goods, i.e. trade in industrial products, including fish and other marine products, and agricultural products. Also included are provisions on intellectual property rights, services, establishment, government procurement, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, rules of origin, trade facilitation, competition, trade and sustainable development, and institutional provisions and provisions on dispute settlement. The Agreement establishes a Joint Committee, which will supervise the application thereof.

Law of Georgia on "Living Modified Organisms " approved by Decree of the President of Georgia.

Introduction of the Living Modified Organisms (LMO) into the environment of the territory of Georgia is prohibited since 2 October 2014. Locating and re-manufacturing of the living modified organism is permitted in the market network, only if it belongs to the variety of Living Modified Organism allowed in the territory of Georgia. The list of permitted Living Modified Organisms is defined by the Decree of the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia.
