This draft Commission Delegated Regulation amends several information requirements of Annexes II and III to Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 (the biocidal products regulation - BPR) to ensure that substances or products having endocrine disruptors' properties are correctly identified. In addition, the draft includes new provisions reflecting the current state of science, in particular for test methods ensuring a better protection of human and animal health or reducing the number of tests on animals. All the other provisions set out in the Annexes II and III of the EU Biocidal Products Regulation remain applicable.

This draft Commission Implementing Regulation provides that the approval of the active substance beta-cyfluthrin is not renewed in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009. EU Member States shall withdraw authorisations for plant protection products containing beta-cyfluthrin as active substance. The non-renewal of approval is based on the first evaluation of the substance for use as a pesticide active substance in the EU under Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009. The substance was formerly assessed and approved under Directive 91/414/EEC.
