The policy objective of the scheme is to support research and innovation in the field of electromobility during 2018 2023. The aim is to contribute to a faster development of new techniques for mainly electrified vehicles, but even for electrified ships, aircrafts and machinery, as well as to strengthen competence and competitiveness in these areas. The aim is also to contribute to achieving the energy and climate policy goals adopted by the Swedish Parliament.

SUPPORT FOR RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION: Support for research and innovation in the field of electromobility:
The policy objective of the scheme is to support research and innovation in the field of electromobility during 2018 2023. The aim is to contribute to a faster development of new techniques for mainly electrified vehicles, but even for electrified ships, aircrafts and machinery, as well as to strengthen competence and competitiveness in these areas. The aim is also to contribute to achieving the energy and climate policy goals adopted by the Swedish Parliament.
Important research areas include for example batteries, supercapacitators, fuel cells, electrical machines, low emission combustion engines in hybrid applications, recharging infrastructure, power electronics, systemic solutions, electromobility in arctic conditions, material recycling and environmental system studies.

Investment aid in accordance with article 38 of GBER may only be granted to large undertakings which have conducted an energy review ("energikartläggning") or an environmental study in accordance with article 49 of GBER. The energy efficiency measure must have been proposed in the preceding energy review or environmental study, and the preceding energy review or environmental study must indicate an estimated energy saving for the measure. Investment aid in accordance with article 38 in GBER shall be granted for measures that at each time of assessment lead to the highest energy saving per SEK of granted aid.
