Financial assistance is directed towards projects which:
• Improve the organic sector and provide the producers of the basic product with an opportunity of enhancing income;

This scheme will provide financial assistance in respect of approved investments/development projects as follows: Developing facilities for preparation, grading, packing, storage, distribution, or the sale of organic products as part of a wider organic operation.

2020: NATIONAL PARKS AND WILDLIFE FARM PLAN SCHEME:
The National Parks and Wildlife Service Farm Plan Scheme was introduced on 1 January 2006 to aid the farmer/ landowner to enhance and aid biodiversity in their farms/ land. This is done by creating optimum habitats by aiding improved stock management and grazing through fencing. Other activities include scrub clearance, hedgerow inputting and grass reseeding.

2020: NATIONAL PARKS AND WILDLIFE FARM PLAN SCHEME:
The National Parks and Wildlife Service Farm Plan Scheme was introduced on 1 January 2006 to aid the farmer/ landowner to enhance and aid biodiversity in their farms/ land. This is done by creating optimum habitats by aiding improved stock management and grazing through fencing. Other activities include scrub clearance, hedgerow inputting and grass reseeding.
The subsidy is paid to NPWS Farm Plan participants on the anniversary each year of when the participant signed up to scheme. It is paid directly into their bank account once we have received a compliance report from the assigned Farm Planner.

2020: CONSERVATION OF PLANT AND ANIMAL GENETIC RESOURCES GRANT AID SCHEME
The management and conservation of animal genetic resources in Ireland is primarily carried out by the relevant breed societies. The management and conservation of plant genetic resources in Ireland is primarily carried out by NGOs with some additional work carried out by State institutions and the Universities. The grant aid is channelled through these organisations based on projects submitted that facilitate the conservation, characterisation, collection and utilisation of plant and animal genetic resources in Ireland. All projects submitted are examined and evaluated by an Advisory Committee, chaired by a senior DAFM official, and consisting of key stakeholders in the area of genetic resources. The subsidy is provided annually by means of a direct grant payment.

The scheme aims to maximise the number of over 48 month bovines being collected, to integrate fully with TSE requirements for testing, to facilitate the collection and disposal of fallen bovines under 48 months (not subject to TSE testing), sheep and goats in accordance with EU Animal By-Products (ABP) legislation to minimise the use of licensed burial and to provide important environmental benefits.

Licensed animal collectors are paid by farmers and by the State for collection of over 48 month bovine animals. The State also subsidies 100% of the cost of rendering and destruction of over 48 month bovine animals.
