This draft Commission Implementing Regulation provides that the conditions of approval of the active substance fluroxypyr are amended. Existing authorisations for plant protection products containing fluroxypyr will be amended or withdrawn from the market. The amendment is based on evaluation of confirmatory information submitted following the approval of the substance for use as a pesticide active substance in the EU under Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009.

This draft Commission Regulation applies to electronic displays to be placed on the EU market and in particular to televisions and computer monitors.

The draft regulation lays down minimum energy performance requirements and in particular the requirements on maximum power demand in on, standby, network standby and off modes and automatic power down function.

The draft regulation also lays down requirements on resource efficiency-related aspects, including design to enhance extraction of key components, marking of plastic parts and a mercury presence logo.

In accordance with the Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC, electronic displays not meeting these requirements will not be allowed to be placed on the EU market. The draft Regulation is based on the findings of a technical, environmental and economic study which has been carried out with stakeholders.

Belgium - Federal State: Excise duty on Energy Products and Electricity
The tax measures apply to the business consumption of energy-intensive enterprises engaged in economic activity involving production, trading or the provision of services, including mining and agricultural activities and liberal professions. These enterprises are required to have concluded an environmental agreement.

Energy-intensive enterprises holding an environmental permit are granted a zero rate, while a reduced rate (normally 50%) is applied to other enterprises which hold such a permit.
