Feed-in-Tariff for Renewable Energy: The aid amount is the difference between the target price and electricity spot price. Biogas and small CHP are also eligible for heat premium, which is paid if the plant produces heat as well. Target prices:
Wind power: 83.5 €/MWh (105.3 €/MWh until the end of 2015); Biogas: 83.50 €/MWh + 50 €/MWh heat premium; Small CHP: 83.50 €/MWh + 20 €/MWh heat premium. For forest chip use in multifuel plants, the aid amount is dependent on the emission trading allowance price.

Wind power: 83.5 €/MWh (105.3 €/MWh until the end of 2015); Biogas: 83.50 €/MWh + 50 €/MWh heat premium; Small CHP: 83.50 €/MWh + 20 €/MWh heat premium. For forest chip use in multifuel plants, the aid amount is dependent on the emission trading allowance price.
The subsidy can be provided for producers of electricity from the abovementioned sources.

Implementation period
The feed in tariff for wind power, biogas and small CHP has been closed for new plants in 2017 and for new forest chip plants in 2021. However, the producers within the scheme are eligible for the operating aid for the first 12 years of production.

Measure description Coverage of the measure
Aid for indirect emission costs due to the Emissions Trading System (paid in year 2021); Aid for the electrification of energy intensive industries (paid in year 2022).
Aid is provided to installations operating in industrial sectors and subsectors exposed to a significant risk of carbon leakage due to indirect emission costs. The aid is non discretionary; aid is provided to each installation meeting the criteria set in legislation, with aid amount calculated as per formulae in legislation.

Growth and Development from Wood: The main target is to promote wood construction. The Wood Building program concentrates on improving the opportunities, innovations, know how and awareness of wood building in the Finnish construction sector. Increasing the use of wood contributes to the attainment of climate targets through the eco efficiency of the whole lifecycle of building, but also through the fact that more carbon is stored by buildings.

Measure description Coverage of the measure
Growth and Development from Wood: The main target is to promote wood construction. The Wood Building program concentrates on improving the opportunities, innovations, know how and awareness of wood building in the Finnish construction sector. Increasing the use of wood contributes to the attainment of climate targets through the eco efficiency of the whole lifecycle of building, but also through the fact that more carbon is stored by buildings.
The subsidy can be provided to enterprises of all sizes who submit a project application; the project application must succeed in the evaluation and meet the minimum requirements.
