Tolerances for results of official analysis of composition and quality parameters for fertilizers and biostimulants brought into and manufactured, formulated, packaged, marketed and used in the country: The notified text establishes tolerance ranges for the composition and quality parameters applicable to each type of fertilizer and biostimulant, as appropriate, when grading the results of official analyses.

It also defines the methodologies for analysing composition, quality parameters, contaminants and pollutants to ensure consistency in the results of analyses, irrespective of where they are carried out.

Implementing regulations for Law No. 21.349, which establishes standards for the composition, labelling and marketing of fertilizers and biostimulants: The notified text establishes the requirements for the National Single Register that manufacturers, formulators, producers, marketers or distributors, packers, importers and exporters of fertilizers and biostimulants must join.

It also establishes a classification for fertilizers and biostimulants that details the composition and quality parameter requirements, as well as the minimum labelling requirements, levels of accountability, penalties associated with non-compliance, and the sampling and inspection procedure.

National Institute for the Sustainable Development of Small-Scale Fishing and Aquaculture (INDESPA): INDESPA is a public service created through Law No. 21.069 of 15 February 2018 and operating since 12 August 2018, under the auspices of the Ministry of the Economy, Development and Tourism.

To encourage and promote the development of the small-scale fishing and aquaculture sector by coordinating forms of inter-agency cooperation and by providing technical support to the sector and to those who benefit from the sector in order to strengthen productive capacities in a way that helps small-scale fishing ports and related sectors to develop their natural, cultural and economic heritage in a harmonious and comprehensive manner.
