Preliminary draft emission Standard for thermal power plants, prepared based on the review of Supreme Decree No. 13 of 2011 of the Ministry of the Environment: The purpose of the notified emission Standard is to control air emissions of particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, sulphur dioxide, mercury, nickel and vanadium, with a view to protecting human health and the environment. The emissions limits established under the notified Standard apply to power-generating units, consisting of boilers or turbines, with a thermal input greater than or equal to 50 MWt (megawatts thermal, taking into account the maximum limit of the fuel's energy value) . Compliance with the maximum emission limits will be verified in the effluent of the emitting source, which may come from one or more power-generating units. The notified emission Standard will apply across Chile.

Technical report for establishing the energy efficiency standard for medium-duty motor vehicles: Law No. 21.305 on energy efficiency, published on 13 February 2021, provides, inter alia, for the establishment of energy efficiency standards for light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles (Article 7) . The Ministry of Energy must therefore set standards which will consist of energy efficiency targets, in kilometres per litre of gasoline equivalent, in average terms for all individual approval certificates issued or certificates of compliance with Supreme Decree No. 55 of 1994 of the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications, or that replacing it, as appropriate.

Approval of the ecotoxicological classification…
Approval of the ecotoxicological classification of agricultural pesticides in relation to bees, the technical standard defining the area of impact and providing warning to beekeepers, and amendment to that Resolution: Article 12 of Law No. 21.489 grants the Agricultural and Livestock Service the authority to introduce restrictions on the use of agricultural pesticides that are toxic to bees, which must be notified in strict compliance with the indications contained on the label of the authorised agricultural pesticide, and Decree Law No. 3.557 establishing that users of pesticides must use them in accordance with the technical standards indicated on the label. The notified text establishes the Resolution approving the ecotoxicological classification of agricultural pesticides in relation to bees, their information requirements and labelling standards, which shall be governed by the provisions of this Resolution and the Technical Standard establishing criteria for determining the area of impact, form and timing of notification of pesticide application that may have an impact on the welfare of bees. The Technical Standard also establishes a timeline for implementation periods.
