To reduce carbon footprint.
Ford Motor Company of Australia Limited (Ford) will upgrade the Falcon and Territory vehicles to make them more competitive in the Australia marketplace, reduce the Falcon and Territory's carbon footprint, bring these vehicles to market in 2014; and, will introduce Australian suppliers to opportunities within Ford's global supply chain.

To reduce fuel consumption and/or green house gas emissions of passenger motor vehicles.
The objective of the Green Car Innovation Fund was to enhance the research and development and early stage commercialisation of Australian technologies that significantly reduce fuel consumption and/or green house gas emissions of passenger motor vehicles.

This grant will assist Australian Paper to establish a de-inked pulp facility at the company’s Maryvale mill in Victoria. This facility will assist in improving the competitiveness of the Maryvale mill and support the jobs of close to 900 workers directly employed there, as well as over 4,000 indirect jobs which rely on the mill's operations. The facility will divert over 80,000 tonnes a year of white waste paper, that would otherwise be exported or go to landfill, into de-inked pulp which can then be used to manufacture recycled white paper.

To promote clean energy.
The Briquette Restructuring Package is supporting Energy Brix Australia Corporation Pty Ltd (Energy Brix), to maintain its production of brown coal briquettes for a limited two-year period (to 30 June 2014) so that downstream users have the required time and certainty to switch to clean er fuel and feedstock sources.

To promote adaptation to low carbon economy (climate change).
The STP is a $300 million program operating over six payment years from 2011/12 that aims to encourage investment, innovation and competitiveness in the Australian steel manufacturing industry in order to assist the industry to transform into an efficient and economically sustainable industry in a low carbon economy to assist the industry to transform into an efficient and economically sustainable industry in a low carbon economy.

To promote clean technology.
ICon is designed to provide creative innovators and entrepreneurs with limited funding support for Clean Technology that will accelerate the progress of viable, creative ideas along the development and commercialisation pathway.

To promote energy efficiency.
The Business Sustainability Alliance (BSA), an initiative of the South Australian Government, brings together the combined expertise of four State Government agencies. The energy efficiency program forms part of the CleverGreen Clean tech Strategies initiative announced by the Minister for Trade and Industry in November 2010.
The energy efficiency program’s intent over time is to develop a series of compelling case studies to encourage other SMEs to undertake energy audits to identify potential energy efficiency improvements.

To promote energy efficiency.
The objective of the program is help small and medium enterprises take new clean tech products, processes and services from conception and early development through to market and stimulate economic development in South Australia.

To reduce the generation of operational waste.
The Beyond Waste Fund is a $1.35 million initiative that seeks to help businesses within the Commercial & Industrial and Construction & Demolition sectors, reduce the generation of operational waste, through building capacity and knowledge of waste reduction opportunities.

To process and recycle key waste streams.
To increase the capacity of the Victorian resource recovery sector to process and recycle key waste streams.
