To protect the environment through prohibiting illegal logging. The regulation prescribes due diligence requirements for Australian importers and processors of regulated timber products to reduce the risk of illegally logged timber entering the Australian market. The Regulation requires that Australian importers and processors put in place a due diligence system; gather information before importing or processing a regulated timber product; identify and assess the risk that the regulated timber product(s) has been illegally logged; and mitigate the risk of importing illegally logged regulated timber products.

Rural Water Use Efficiency - Irrigation Futures |

To provide environmental services to irrigators system design and management. Services funded typically include:
• providing information through workshops, field days, fact sheets and web-based tools on ways to improve water and energy efficiency;
• conducting assessments on irrigation and pumping systems to determine their efficiency and to identify where water and energy savings can be made;
• offering advice to irrigators to encourage them to make system and practice changes, including advice on managing agricultural wastewater and the management of nutrients applied through irrigation.
