The Amendment to Water Supply Act was announced on 4 May 2016. The main changes to the Act are adding Article 95-1 and Article 98-1 to facilitate the use of water efficient equipment. Water equipment, sanitary equipment or other equipment that are designated by the central competent authority and sold by individuals, groups and corporate organizations shall be affixed water- saving labels in order for them to be placed on the market. Failure to affix water- saving labels on designated equipment shall be subject to penalties. Further details concerning the water- saving labels shall be announced by the central competent authority at a later time.
