13.1 National Registry of Cultural Property (RNBC)- For the purposes of the international movement of cultural property, the National Registry of Cultural Property of the Republic of Cuba (RNBC) applies a cultural property import control system. Under this system, importers may obtain a numbered document that constitutes an import certificate. For the importation of heritage property, property the composition of which includes any of the species protected under the CITES Convention, property of outstanding significance, or property of uncertain origin, the matter is put to the consideration of the CITES authority of the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment (CITMA), the Chair of the National Cultural Heritage Council, and the relevant bodies of the Ministry of the Interior.

4. Ozone-Depleting Substance - ODS - (Controlled substances): The import of ozone-depleting substances (ODS) is subject to licensing. In the context of the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer and the Montreal Protocol on the substances that deplete the ozone layer, the European Commission issues ODS licences based on applications submitted via the ODS Licensing System. Imports (as well as exports) of controlled substances, referred to hereby as ozone depleting substances (ODS) and products and equipment containing or relying on ODS are prohibited. However, there are exemptions to this prohibition.

Fluorinated Gases including Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCS): Companies must have a prior valid registration in the F-Gas Portal and HFC Licensing System (the registry) to import and export fluorinated gases (f-gases) into and from the European Union above the quantities set out under Article 19 of the F-gas Regulation. A valid registration equals to a licence to import and export these gases, as required under the Montreal Protocol. In addition, for import of bulk hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) it is a requirement that the quantity of HFCs placed on the market are covered by quota on an annual basis.

1.4 Ozone-depleting substances: The import of ozone-depleting substances (ODS) is subject to licensing. In the context of the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer and the Montreal Protocol on the substances that deplete the ozone layer, the Environment Agency issues ODS licences for imports into Great Britain based on applications submitted via the ODS quota, licensing and reporting system. Imports (as well as exports) of controlled substances, referred to hereby as ozone depleting substances (ODS) and products and equipment containing or relying on ODS are prohibited. However, there are exemptions to this prohibition. (...) Quota is determined on a yearly basis. The Environment Agency issue ODS licences with a validity period of 28 days.
