|
1. Project funding for community groups is available for projects that tackle a shared problem or develop a new opportunity in relation to land use.
2. Advisory services funding for land owners and land managers: advisory services will be made available for individual land owners and land managers, who have property within Hurunui, Kaikōura and Marlborough that was affected by the November 2016 earthquake, to help with long-term land use planning and technical advice. The funding is available for advice provided to landowners in the following industries: dairy, sheep, beef, deer, arable, horticulture, forestry, farm forestry, pigs, poultry, viticulture, and land-based aquaculture.

Date of entry into effect:
i. Project funding for community groups: Applications for the project funding for community groups closed on 23 June 2017; assistance will be available from September 2017.
ii. Advisory services funding for land owners and land managers: Applications to become an approved supplier of professional advisory services closed on 9 June 2017; land owners and land managers will have access to funded services through MPI approved suppliers from early August 2017.
Period of application:
Primary Industries Earthquake Recovery Funding is expected to be fully allocated. Projects that benefit community groups can run for up to three years and are expected to be complete by 30 June 2020.
