This Preliminary Draft Rwanda Standard gives guidance for inspection purposes for marketed and delivered fuel additives designed for gasoline (petrol) and/or gas oil (diesel) for use in engines designed or subsequently adapted to run on fuel additives

This regulation apply to the distribution service provider, qualified consumer, contractor, and any other persons involved in connecting the small PV solar systems to the distribution system and/or associated with the net measurement arrangements with the distribution service provider. The capacity of the system must be within the specified and permitted capacity. The system must be located in a qualified consumer facility. The capacity in the facility should not exceed 2 MW. The combined capacity shall not exceed 5 MW and the vehicle shall be in different facilities owned by the same qualified consumer in a supply area of ​​one electricity department. The capacity should not be less than 1 kW. The system must be connected and operated safely with the distribution system.

Draft of GSO Technical Regulation for Water- saving Products

This GSO Technical Regulation (TR) shall apply to Water- saving Products as defined in Article (2) thereof. This TR aims to rationalize water consumption through products covered (listed in Annex 1) . The rationalization will be in accordance with specified rates of consumption (Annex 2), to achieve efficient and effective water use for optimum social and economic benefits of member states.

Draft of GCC Technical Regulations for the Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment

This GCC Technical Regulation shall apply to electrical and electronic equipment as defined in Article (2) of this Regulation. This Technical Regulation sets out requirements on the restriction of the use of Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment with a view to contributing to the protection of human health and the environment, including the environmentally sound recovery and disposal of waste. These requirements shall be respected by the electrical and electronic equipment included in the scope of this GCC Technical Regulation before they are put or made available in the GCC market.

NEA is proposing to control 18 types of Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) under the Second Schedule of the Environmental Protection and Management Act (EPMA) . Under the proposed control, companies importing or exporting the listed HFCs, whether in pure or mixture forms, are required to obtain a Hazardous Substances (HS) licence from NEA ( Pollution Control Department) . Licence holders are required to comply with the stipulated licensing conditions.

The regulations specify when a substance is considered to be an end product or a primary aim of a production process. If a process is usually optimised to produce a substance, it shall be considered to be an end product or a primary aim of the process. However, even a substance for which a production process is not usually optimised to produce it shall be considered to be an end product or the main purpose of the process if the substance has a use other than for energy purposes and, over the last 2-year period or the shorter part of the time the substance has been on the market, it has had an average retail price per kilo which, over the same period, exceeds 40 % of the average retail price per kilo of the substance for which the process is usually optimised

The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to enforce TIS 2915 – 25XX Safety Requirements for Motorcycle: Emission from Engine Level 7 as a mandatory standard.

This standard applies only on the motorcycles powered by internal-combustion engines (Category L3, L4 and L5) . It covers the safety requirements relating the levels of gaseous pollutants which emitted from motorcycles (i.e. carbon monoxide, oxide of nitrogen and hydrocarbon ) and durability of pollution control devices.

It also prescribes requirements, marking and labelling, sampling and criteria for conformity and testing.

The Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare, proposes to amend the "Regulations Governing Traceability of Foods and Relevant Products" according to Paragraph 5 of Article 9 of the Act Governing Food and Safety Sanitation, which authorizes the central competent authority to prescribe matters to be recorded and other matters to be complied with for the traceability system. The amendments, proposed to enhance food safety and effective management, would require that food businesses shall establish traceability system information, including (1) labelling information of food containing ingredients of genetically modified organisms , (2) recalled products information, (3) returned products information, (4) inferior (including discarded items) products information, (5) inventory materials and products information, (6) pass expiry date products information.
