With a view to supporting the implementation of the Organic Agriculture Promotion Act, the Agriculture and Food Agency is proposing a draft specifying the documents to be retained by certification bodies that operate certification of organic agricultural products. Such documents include quality manual, certification operation procedures, application records, qualifications of personnel, internal audit reports, subcontracting records, etc. The retention period is 6 years in principle and the documents may be retained in hard copies or electronic format.

With a view to protecting marine environment from plastic microbeads influence, the Environmental Protection Administration intends to propose amendments to the restrictions on the manufacture, import and sale of personal care and cosmetics products containing particles by extending the scope to cover personal care and cosmetic products containing non-natural polymers, such as solid synthetic waxes. The proposed amendments was drawn up by referring to Sweden's restrictive regulations on plastic microbeads in personal care and cosmetics products. Two transition periods will be provided for the businesses to comply with the new requirements.

Measure description Coverage of the measure
With a view to protecting marine environment from plastic microbeads influence, the Environmental Protection Administration intends to propose amendments to the restrictions on the manufacture, import and sale of personal care and cosmetics products containing particles by extending the scope to cover personal care and cosmetic products containing non-natural polymers, such as solid synthetic waxes. The proposed amendments was drawn up by referring to Sweden's restrictive regulations on plastic microbeads in personal care and cosmetics products. Two transition periods will be provided for the businesses to comply with the new requirements.
Cosmetics used for washing hair, cosmetics used for bathing, cosmetics used for face-washing, and soap as defined in relevant provisions of the Cosmetic Hygiene and Safety Act.

Self-ballasted LED lamps have been subject to mandatory inspection under the Commodity Inspection Act by the Bureau of Standards Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) since 1 July 2014.

The BSMI intends to revise the Description of Goods of the commodities and adopt the latest version of the inspection standards, CNS 15630 and CNS 14115, which were promulgated on 12 July 2019 and 14 September 2016 respectively.

The conformity assessment procedures remain the same, i.e. Registration of Product Certification (RPC) or Type Approval Batch Inspection (TABI) .

Self-ballasted LED lamps have been subject to mandatory inspection under the Commodity Inspection Act by the Bureau of Standards Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) since 1 July 2014.

The BSMI intends to revise the Description of Goods of the commodities and adopt the latest version of the inspection standards, CNS 15630 and CNS 14115, which were promulgated on 12 July 2019 and 14 September 2016 respectively.
