The International Trade In Endangered Species Act 2008 [Act 686] is an Act to implement the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and to provide for other matters connected therewith.
Animal means any member of the animal kingdom, and includes- (a) any mammal (other than man), bird, reptile, amphibian, fish, mollusc, arthropod, or other vertebrate or invertebrate, whether alive or dead, and the egg, young or immature form thereof; and (b) any readily recognizable part or derivative of an animal. Plant means any member of the plant kingdom, whether live or dead, and any readily recognizable part or derivative of a plant.
