The scope of these subsidies is to increase the share of electricity from renewable sources and to increase the efficiency in the production of power and heat by supporting combined heat and power plants.

The notified guidelines comprise green electricity producing installations, especially photovoltaics, power storage systems and energy efficiency programmes. (...) The funding scheme targets the support for electricity production from renewable energy sources by new technologies, excluding hydro power, sewage sludge, meat and bone meal and waste liquor. Additionally funded are also measures to increase energy efficiency and energy saving by energy efficiency programmes. Electricity from renewable sources contributes significantly to achieve climate protection and environmental goals. A specific legal framework has been set up in Austria to increase the electricity production from renewable energy sources, either by funding the feed in of renewable electricity or by supporting the investment, as it is the case in the described Viennese funding scheme. The subsidy is granted by federal state government of Vienna and executed by the municipal department "Energy Planning". (...)

To support SME's in Vorarlberg to ensure energy saving measures.

To provide investment aid for the promotion of energy from renewable energy sources.

TThe Tyrolean Regional Government supports the financing of projects to stimulate regional economy, sustainable growth and secure employment in Tyrol by providing Grant. Aid is granted for business relocations or business expansions, product innovations or process innovations. The subsidy consists of an investment grant from 5% to 7.5% of the eligible costs or from 10% to 12.5% of the eligible costs in regions eligible for regional aid and additionally of an employment grant, environmental grant (...).

The Tyrolean Regional Government supports the economic development of the region "Oberes und Oberstes Gericht" eligible for regional state aid. The promotion program should stimulate sustainable regional development by promoting tourism, competitiveness of enterprises, projects to increase innovation, environmental projects and projects in order to counteract predicted population decline.

Tyrolean Regional Government supports the use of renewable energy by promoting construction or renovation of biomass local heating systems.
