This technical regulation establishes mandatory requirements for free circulation of personal protection means within the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union provided that mandatory requirements are met.

This technical regulation has been enforced urgently due to accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the EAEU.

Technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) – Safety of Machines and Equipment – TR CU 010/2011 (28 pages, in Russian)

This technical regulation establishes uniform mandatory requirements for free circulation of machines and equipment within the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. It sets minimum technical requirements to be complied with in the course of designing, manufacture, use, storage and utilization of machines and equipment.

Technical regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) – Safety of tractors and trailers for Agriculture and Forestry – TR CU 031/2012 (14 pages, in Russian)

This technical regulation covers newly manufactured or imported wheeled or track type tractors and trailers being placed for free circulation within the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union

Amendment on the "Functional Health Foods Act" was passed at the National Assembly on 31 December 2015. The new amendment includes mandatory labelling for Genetically Modified Foods; Foods or food additives from manufactured or processed agricultural, livestock or marine products developed using modern biotechnology should be labelled as genetically modified foods.

Modern biotechnology means the application of:

1) In vitro nucleic acid technique, including recombinant deoxyribonucleic acid and direct injection of nucleic acid into cells or organelles, or
2) Fusion of cells beyond the taxonomic family

However, the mandatory labelling is limited to genetically modified foods that retain transgenic DNA fragments or transgenic proteins.

Draft amendment announced by MFDS called Labelling Standard for Genetically Modified Foods (Notice No. 2016-150 of the MFDS, 21 April 2016) .

• To expand GM labelling requirements to any food products (including processed food products, food additives, functional health foods, livestock processing products, agricultural products, sprouts made by germination of GM agricultural products; hereinafter referred to as GM foods) that contain genetically modified DNA or genetically modified proteins.

• To add a clause for GM labelling exemption for highly refined food products such as sugars and oils etc. for which genetically modified DNA or genetically modified proteins are not detectable.
