For investment aid, subsidies are given to agricultural holdings and to small and micro enterprises with an amount equal to 40% of the investment costs. For non-productive investment aid, subsidies are given to farmers and other land managers with a fixed amount per a set unit and for setting up aid grants are awarded to young farmers in the form of a start-up premium of SEK 250,000.

Subsidies are given to biogas plants that fertilize manure. The aid level is at most 0.4 SEK/kWh. The average level for 2022 was 0.19 SEK/kWh. The aid level is based on the amount of biogas produced by the plant from manure.

Subsidies are given to biogas plants that produce upgraded biogas from all kinds of substrates except sewage sludge. The biogas has to be used as motor fuel. The aid level for 2021 was 0.25 SEK/kWh and was based on the amount of biogas produced by the plant during a period of 6 months.

Aid for investments is provided for fishers as well as for aquaculture and processing enterprises. For fishers, subsidies are given for investments on-board and for infrastructure in ports. Fishers can receive a maximum amount of SEK 150 000 for investments on-board and SEK 5 million for investments in ports. For aquaculture enterprises, subsidies are given for productive investments, environmental investments and for starting aid
