Final Draft Standard Specification for Diesel Fuel
This national standard has been developed in recognition of the consumer concerns as it relates to quality of the product with respect to performance, environmental and health concerns present in a growing nation which is increasing the use of vehicles that use diesel fuel. This standard represents one aspect of efforts to minimize air pollution with a view to reducing harmful effects to the public and the environment. It includes requirements for three key properties, namely, cetane value (number and index), sulphur content and aromatic hydrocarbon content
Environment related objective
Given the bad quality of fuels in Belize, the standard establishes requirements for three key properties. The standard`s purpose, inter alia, is to minimize air pollution with a view to reducing harmful effects to the public and the environment. Other objectives include consumer information, labelling; prevention of deceptive practices and consumer protection; protection of human health or safety; and quality requirements.

Standard Specification for Unleaded Gasoline for…
Standard Specification for Unleaded Gasoline for Motor Vehicles

-Automotive gasolines are essentially blends of hydrocarbons derived from petroleum and may contain selected additives that impart specific features to the finished gasoline. The hydrocarbons are derived from fractional distillation of crude oil, and associated processes that increase either the amount or the quality of the gasoline obtained. The resulting components vary from individual hydrocarbons such as, normal butane, to products that contain hundreds of different hydrocarbons. The properties of commercial gasolines are influenced by the refinery practices employed and the nature of the crude oils from which they are produced. Finished gasolines encompass a boiling range of about 30°C to 225°C. This standard specifies requirements and test methods for two grades of unleaded gasoline: Premium and Regular for use in spark-ignition internal combustion engines in Belize.
Environment related objective
Given the bad quality of fuels in Belize, the standard aims to provide specifications on unleaded gasoline for motor vehicles. The standard`s objectives include environmental protection; consumer information, labelling; prevention of deceptive practices and consumer protection; protection of human health or safety; and quality requirements.

Draft Belize Code of Practice for Storage of…
Draft Belize Code of Practice for Storage of Tyres, Inner Tubes and Flaps

-Rubber products in general can deteriorate during storage and in extreme circumstances could become unserviceable. Deterioration can be caused by such factors as deformation of the article or by the action of ozone, light, heat or humidity such as those experienced in a tropical climate. It is important, therefore, to minimize these effects by taking appropriate precautions during storage in order that tyres, tubes and flaps are maintained in good condition. This code of practice gives requirements for storage of tyres, inner tubes and flaps.
Environment related objective
The code of practice gives requirements for storage of rubber products in order to minimize the deterioration during storage. The objectives include prevention of deceptive practices and consumer protection; protection of human health or safety; protection of the environment; and quality requirements.
