The draft Commission Regulation provides clarifications of certain provisions in the Annexes to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 on the obligations for registrants under Title II and on the role and responsibilities of the Agency under Title VI of that Regulation. The Commission and the European Chemicals Agency had concluded in their Joint Evaluation Action Plan of June 2019 that certain provisions in the Annexes of that Regulation would benefit from some re-wording so that they can be applied more consistently. |

Such provisions can affect also organic operators in Third Countries. |

This draft Commission Implementing Regulation concerns organic production. Organic production and labelling of organic products with regard to organic production
Following the postponement by one year from 1 January 2021 to 1 January 2022 of the date of entry into application of Regulation (EU) 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May 2018 on organic production and labelling of organic products and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007, it is necessary to extend by one year the possibility for organic producers to use by derogation non organic pullets in egg production and to use by derogation a maximum of 5% of non organic protein feed for poultry and pigs. In addition, new products and or new uses for such products are authorised to be used in organic production. |
