Draft partial amendment of the Public Notice on Corporate Average Energy Efficiency Standards, Greenhouse Gas Emission Standards for Motor Vehicles and Application and Management of the Standards (Ministry of Environment Notice No. 2019-34, January 30, 2019) setting CO2 emissions performance standards for new passenger cars and for new light commercial vehicles.
Republic of Korea is proposing to amend the "Public Notice on Corporate Average Energy Efficiency Standards, Greenhouse Gas Emission Standards for Motor Vehicles and Application and Management of the Standards". The main changes proposed are: 1) With regard to Korean's new automobile fuel economy and greenhouse gas emissions regulation (2021~2030), the draft which was made public by the Ministry of Environment Notice No.2020-754 on August 31, 2020, the Ministry of Environment has taken into account improvements in manufacturers' fuel economy and greenhouse gas emissions performance through the development of relevant technologies, and international standards with respect to fuel economy or greenhouse gas emissions in a manner consistent with Article 2.4 of the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade. 2) The Regulation sets a fleet target of 97 gCO2/km for passenger cars and a fleet target of 166 g CO2/km for light commercial vehicles in 2021, and the Ministry of Environment maintains these targets until 2022. From 2023 to 2030, the CO2targets will be strengthening from 95 gCO2/km in 2023 to 70 gCO2/km in2030 for passenger cars and from 164 gCO2/km in 2023 to 146 gCO2/km in2030 for light commercial vehicles. 3) The ME will provide three types of flexibility mechanisms, super-credits for ZEVs and Hybrid vehicles, incentives for manual transmission-equipped vehicles, LPG-fueled vehicles and derogations for small volume manufacturers. 4) Articles for trading CO2 credit will be also newly set for small volume manufacturers. |

Respiratory protective devices. Nomenclature of components.
This Standard specifies a harmonized nomenclature for typical components of respiratory protective devices. It does not specify which or how many components are used and where they are located in the apparatus. The illustrations used are given as examples only for the identification of the different parts and the corresponding terms for facilitating the application. The definitions and terms used are given in EN 132 and EN 135. The terms are given in the three official CEN languages. |

Chemical disinfectants and antiseptics - Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of bactericidal activity of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics used in food, industrial, domestic and institutional areas - Test method and requirements.
This Standard specifies a test method and the minimum requirements for bactericidal activity of chemical disinfectant and antiseptic products that form a homogeneous, physically stable preparation when diluted with hard water or - in the case of ready-to-use products - with water. Products can only be tested at a concentration of 80 % or less, as some dilution is always produced by adding the test organisms and interfering substance. This document applies to products that are used in food, industrial, domestic and institutional areas excluding areas and situations where disinfection is medically indicated and excluding products used on living tissues except those for hand hygiene in the above considered areas. |

Biological evaluation of medical devices — Part 1: Evaluation and testing within a risk management process.
This document specifies: — the general principles governing the biological evaluation of medical devices within a risk management process; — the general categorization of medical devices based on the nature and duration of their contact with the body; — the evaluation of existing relevant data from all sources; — the identification of gaps in the available data set on the basis of a risk analysis; — the identification of additional data sets necessary to analyse the biological safety of the medical device; — the assessment of the biological safety of the medical device. [...] This document is applicable to biological evaluation of all types of medical devices including active, non-active, implantable and non-implantable medical devices. This document also gives guidelines for the assessment of biological hazards arising from: — risks, such as changes to the medical device over time, as a part of the overall biological safety assessment; — breakage of a medical device or medical device component which exposes body tissue to new or novel materials. Other parts of ISO 10993 cover specific aspects of biological assessments and related tests. Devicespecific or product standards address mechanical testing. This document excludes hazards related to bacteria, moulds, yeasts, viruses, transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE) agents and other pathogens. |
