Outbound foreign direct investment (FDI) from the Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu generally showed growth trends on a year-by-year basis from 2014 to 2017. On average, outbound and inbound investment during 2014-2017 amounted to US$20.5 billion and US$7.6 billion, respectively.
